India will celebrate Thursday its Republic Day, which also marks the 68th day of the Republic of the country. This day becomes important because it observes the application of the Constitution of India thus declaring India as a sovereign, democratic and republic. There is a national holiday declared on this day that every Indian celebrates by hoisting a flag and remembering the labors of our ancestors.

The day of the 2017 Republic was celebrated on January 26, 2017 across the nation. The Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be the main guest at the 68th day of the Republic. The celebrations will include a flag raising ceremony in Rajpath, New Delhi, which will see the presence of President Hon’ble of India Pranab Mukherjee. The hoisting of the flag will be followed by the parade of the feast of the Republic at 9 am.
